First of all, we see the dragon as a severe guardian of the demonic dimension. It’s a symbol of evil. It represents the hidden treasures, the challenge we must outcome to conquer these treasures. The hidden treasure could represent the immortality itself, as the Siegfried legend confirms. Or could it be something else? That’s up to you. Each one of us fights for a hidden treasure…

In reality, the dragon as a demonic symbol identifies itself with the snake. The crushed dragon heads and the destroyed serpents are the victory of Christ over evil.

These negative aspects are not the only ones or the most important. The symbolism of the dragon is ambivalent. Both evil and celestial symbol, power of life and manifestation, the dragon spits the primordial waters or the egg of the universe. This makes him a picture of the creative verb.

Similarly, the Dragon is identified in the Hindu doctrine, the Principle, Agni, or Prajapati. The dragon’s killer is the sacrifice who seduces the divine power and identifies itself with it.

Even more, the dragon is the one who produces the soma, the drink of life without death, is the sum of sacrifice by sacrifice.

But what about Prince charming? What about you?

The positive hero in folk tales symbolizes perfection, beauty and heroism. Ever-victorious and young, he appears as a master of the evil horse, because he embodies the victory. His role is to defeat the monstrosities, the beings that ruin the world’s balance – the witches, the monsters, the terrible dragons.

The super-beautiful Superhero breaks the monotony of life and destroys the old interdiction. Fighting to save the beauty and for that, it uses every element. The garments are old, inherited from his father, but they have a special significance. The red cloak gives him confidence and presents him, surprisingly and captivating every time. Furthermore, he always has an important help with him: the horse. White, indignant and endowed with the best qualities to be a hopeful helper in every initiatory attempt. He also appears on his master’s girdle. This girdle is the link between the Prince and the horse. Besides that, it has the function of always guiding it in the right direction.

You can stare at this oil painting on canvas for hours, days… And imagine a fairy-tale land. An every-day hero winning small battles and overcome problems each day. A spirit fighting every-day thoughts…  It’s up to you…
